Meet Our Leadership Team
Our senior leadership team is committed to creating an environment of innovation and collaboration for our employees and clients. Together, they bring decades of experience with them helping small-to-medium sized businesses navigate the complexities of workers’ compensation and risk management.
Community Involvement
Sheakley helps build the community.
At Sheakley, we’re involved in many worthy organizations and causes, but we have an especially strong desire to help our area’s disadvantaged youth. Much of this focus has been driven by our CEO, Larry Sheakley.
Sheakley Center for Youth
In 2018, in partnership with Lighthouse Youth & Family Services, the new multi-million dollar Lighthouse Sheakley Center for Youth facility was opened. The center offers shelter to young adults ages 18-24 who are motivated to move from homelessness to safe and stable housing.
A dedicated and trained team of case managers assesses each person’s needs, provides crisis intervention, coordinates necessary care and develops an indivulaized plan for support. The end goal is to guide young people off the streets, into secure housing and towards a better future.
Sheakley Boys & Girls Club
In 2012, the Sheakley Boys & Girls Club of Greater Cincinnati was opened to support at-risk children in the community. The Club is dedicated to helping young people reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens by providing a positive, safe and enriching environment during after-school and evening hours.
The program provides high-quality services and innovative enrichment, all at no cost. The opportunity to build this club came from Matt Sheakley, Larry’s son, who has served on the organization’s board for a number of years.
Empowering Employees
Of course, being involved with these organizations and the children they help is also incredibly rewarding for our employees, who serve and volunteer in both centers throughout the year.
Our team participates in fundraising, service projects, serving meals and celebratory events, and many team members also contribute financially.
There’s no doubt serving others in need helps us feel good about the impact you can make on others. Everyone has a chance to give some of their time helping others. Our service to these organizations gives us a sense of fulfillment. Helping others who have far greater needs, and more basic needs like food and shelter, reminds each of us of the things we sometimes take for granted.
Corporate Philanthropy
Our team and our business loves being involved in the community. Here are other organizations we’re involved with and believe are doing great things for the city and region:
• University of Cincinnati
• Cincinnati Art Museum
• Cincinnati Ballet
• Cincinnati Opera
• Taft Museum of Art
• Playhouse in the Park
• United Way
• Fine Arts Fund
