Meet Our Leadership Team

Larry Sheakley, CEO

Larry A. Sheakley is passionate about helping small and medium sized businesses reach their full potential. And he feels fortunate to be able to put that passion to work every day, not just for clients, but also as Chief Executive Officer and Owner at The Sheakley Group of Companies. As the owner of Sheakley and more than 20 others businesses including the Cincinnati Reds, Larry has honed his leadership skills over 40 years by tackling diverse challenges – earning trust while maintaining his integrity. He and his wife, Rhonda, are actively involved in building the value of the community as well, especially with Lighthouse Youth Services, the Sheakley Boys & Girls Club and the Cincinnati Ballet.

Matt Sheakley, President

Matt Sheakley is energized by keeping up the proud tradition as the third generation in the family business. After graduating from Tulane University, where he was a member of the golf team, Matt returned home to Cincinnati in 1993 to begin his career at Sheakley, and worked his way through the ranks to become Sheakley’s President in 2005. Matt is also heavily involved in the community and currently serves as the Treasurer and Member of the Executive Committee of the Cincinnati Museum Center; member of the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Cincinnati and the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation; member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) as well as a Board member and Co-Chair of the Government Affairs Committee of the Cincinnati Regional Business Committee (CRBC). Matt resides in Indian Hill with his wife Robin and their two children. He enjoys golf, sports, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Brent Sitarski - CFO Sheakley

Brent Sitarski, CFO

Brent Sitarski serves as CFO of Sheakley, responsible for overseeing the corporate financial department.  Brent brings over 20 years of experience in corporate finance, financial reporting, tax planning, treasury management and mergers & acquisitions.  He is a graduate of Northern Illinois University (B.S.) and Xavier University (MBA).  Outside of Sheakley Brent enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, traveling, watching Cincinnati sports, and playing golf.

Shari Herper, Chief Operating Officer

Shari Herper is President of the Sheakley UniComp division. Shari has been with Sheakley for more than 25 years and and has worked in many areas of the business. She began her career in the health insurance field and then worked for Sheakley’s Third Party Administrator for health benefits. For the last 20 years, Shari has overseen the Managed Care Services for the Workers’ Compensation business. She works closely with her team ensuring employees affected by an illness or injury on the job receive the proper care to return to the job healthy and productive. In her own time, Shari spends time with her husband, their 2 children and their sporting activities, and the family dogs. Shari also enjoys training shelter dogs and getting them ready for adoption with her daughter and friends.

Shelli Hensley - Vice President of Workers Compensation and Unemployment.

Shelli Hensley, Vice President – Sheakley UniService

Shelli is the Vice President of Sheakley’s Workers’ Compensation and Unemployment divisions and brings over 23 years of industry experience. She has worked with many private and public employers and is profoundly knowledgeable in the claim and rate practices necessary for the management of workers’ compensation and unemployment programs. Shelli is known for improving and developing new processes within her teams to increase effectiveness and efficiency while maintaining overall client satisfaction. She has worked closely with Sheakley’s IT Development Teams and oversaw the implementation of a state-of-
the-art claims management system. In her free time, she is an active member of Kindervelt which is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to raising funds for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

John Dunn, VP – Ohio Sales

For more than 25 years, John has been a driving force behind Sheakley’s growth. His passion for helping each team member grow personally and professionally has resulted in finding innovative ways to help Ohio businesses grow and succeed. As a Wisconsin native, John is a diehard Green Bay Packers fan. He and his four children are self-professed “Cheeseheads” and often travel the US during the NFL season to cheer on the Packers.

David Massey, VP – National Sales

For more than 25 years, David has managed sales teams across the country. For the last 15 years, he has been with Sheakley helping clients better understand how to measure and manage their workforce. Working in an exciting and ever-changing industry brings its challenges, but watching teams grow and step up to meet those challenges is the reward! Outside of Sheakley, David keeps busy with his two fantastic kids and the real boss at home. His interests and hobbies include stressful golf, trying to stay handsome and young, and binge watching movies!

Shannon Case, VP of Human Resources

Shannon is the HR Director and oversees the Employee Relations, Talent Management, Compensation, and Benefits for the Sheakley organization. Shannon is a graduate of Xavier University and has her SHRM-CP. Shannon has a passion for improving work place culture by focusing on employee and leadership development and providing guidance and understanding to Sheakley’s Core Values. Shannon’s outside interests include spending time with her husband and 3 children. 

Scott Herrmann, VP – Information Systems & Technology

Scott Herrmann is Sheakley’s VP of Information Systems. In his role, Scott provides guidance and leadership to ensure the implementation of modern IT frameworks and best practices. He has a passion for understanding and pursuing technology and believes that, along with business process changes, it can achieve unprecedented results, increased security and better customer engagement and experiences. Outside of Sheakley, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife, children and pets, and is always working on some type of home improvement project.
