In the event of chemical spills or releases, employers should have an emergency response plan, including procedures for containing and cleaning up spills, evacuation procedures, and emergency contact information.

Staying updated on industry-specific regulations and guidelines is also important. OSHA has specific regulations for hazardous waste, hazardous materials transportation, and pesticide handling.
